Colfax Sought On-Call Contractors for Roads, Storm Drains and Snow Plowing in 2026

COLFAX — November 2, 2026. The Colfax Public Works Department posted an August 2026 solicitation for on-call maintenance of city streets, stormwater systems and snow-plowing services.

What the city wanted covered

The proposal request included street and road maintenance, storm-system repairs and snow removal. Such work is especially relevant to winter access in the Sierra foothills.

A request is not a contract award

The existence of the RFP does not establish that a particular contractor has been selected or that snowplow routes have changed. Residents should check any published award or active winter service notice separately.

Who manages the system

Colfax Public Works oversees roads, parks, wastewater collection and capital projects. The city lists City Hall at 33 South Main Street and phone 530-346-2313 for municipal service inquiries.
